Our Story

It begins, improbably, with her sister.

Our milestones

Victoria's Idea

Jeff was up at the bar with his friend Albert, grabbing another round for the group, when a girl walked over and tapped him on the shoulder. It was Victoria — Paige's older sister — and she got straight to the point: "You should date my sister."

They talked for a few minutes. Jeff found out who Paige was, they figured out the age thing, and before they went their separate ways he had her Instagram handle. He messaged Paige the moment he got home that night. They talked until neither of them could keep their eyes open. Victoria, it turns out, was onto something.

Harry's Taproom — where Jeff and Paige's story began

The First Date

After weeks of late-night messages, Jeff and Paige headed to Brick & Barrel for their first date. Over Old Fashioneds — Jeff's drink of choice, then and now — the conversation flowed effortlessly. What they liked to do, what they did for work, where they wanted their lives to go. The kind of conversation that doesn't feel like a first date at all.

At some point Jeff got up to use the bathroom, and when he came back Paige mentioned that their waitress had stopped by the table to say how cute they were together. Even strangers could see it. By the end of the night, Jeff already knew — Paige was exactly who he'd been looking for.

Making It Official

What had started as a random tap on the shoulder at a bar had turned into the best part of both their days. Jeff and Paige made things official, and just like that, every plan got better with the other person in it.

Building Our World

Early on — still new enough that it said something — Jeff drove to Ohio for Paige's birthday to see Morgan Wallen. That became the template: show up, make it count, figure out the rest later.

The trips kept coming after that. A week in Mexico with Paige's family, multiple households all-in together, the kind of trip that shows you exactly who someone is when they're around the people they love most. Corolla on the Outer Banks every fall with Jeff's family — a tradition now, the kind that quietly becomes non-negotiable. And when it was just the two of them, there was Tampa and St. Pete: wandering, eating, drinking, no particular plan beyond finding the next good thing.

The years filled in fast. Life got fuller with each one.

She Said Yes

Jeff had a Resy credit burning a hole in his pocket — or so Paige thought. A nice dinner in New Hope, a night out, no particular occasion. That was the story.

The real story: a big family trip was coming up in late July — grandparents, aunts, uncles, her entire family together for a week. Paige had quietly started to wonder if that might be the moment. Jeff had quietly decided it wouldn't be. He wanted it to be theirs alone, not something with an audience.

So he made his own moment. They got to New Hope early and wandered into a bar, then another, the way an afternoon sometimes goes when neither person seems to be in any hurry. When it was time to head toward dinner, Jeff suggested the long way — along the river. That's where he stopped. That's where he got down on one knee. She said yes. They made it to dinner eventually, and spent the rest of the night exactly the way you'd want to.

A few weeks later they showed up to that family trip as an engaged couple. Somewhere, Victoria was very pleased with herself.

Forever Starts Here

It started with a stranger at a bar, a bold sister, and a late-night DM. It ends — or really begins — at Commonwealth National Golf Club, surrounded by the people who have been part of this story all along. We're so glad you're one of them.
